From Meszna to Szczyrk leads the Beskid Rosary Trail, consisting of 19 chapels made by local artists, mainly from Meszna, Buczkowice, and Szczyrk. This picturesque trail holds great religious significance for believers, serving as an opportunity for prayer. During the hike along the trail, one can recite the various parts of the rosary: joyful, luminous, sorrowful, and glorious. For secular individuals, it is also an attractive walking route where one can admire the works of local folk creators.
The trail is marked in black, which does not indicate the level of difficulty but merely serves as a color designation. There are several steeper ascents along the route, so it is not suitable for older individuals or those having trouble walking in the mountains.
To start this hike, it is best to go from the traffic lights in Meszna up Szkolna Street towards the Chatka na Groniu. The place where the asphalt ends and a small parking lot is located is also the starting point of the rosary trail. This is indicated by a sign and the first chapel.
Continuing further, the trail leads to the church on the hill. Being in this holy place, it is also worth visiting the cave with the statue of the Virgin Mary, which is located behind the church on the hill. One can also drink from a spring there.
This beautiful combination of spirituality, nature, and local folk art makes this trail a unique experience for every pilgrim or hiking enthusiast.
Additionally, the rosary trail leads through beautiful Beskid landscapes, making the hike an exceptional experience for those who enjoy nature and want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
During the hike, one can also savor beautiful views of the Beskidy Mountains and stop at selected chapels to rest and gather strength for further walking. Each chapel is unique and has its own story, adding extra charm and deeper meaning to the trail.
The rosary trail from Meszna to Szczyrk is not only a walking route but also a spiritual pilgrimage that allows one to draw closer to God through prayer and reflection. For many, it is also an opportunity to pause for a moment and listen to the silence of the Beskid nature.
