Biały Krzyż is a popular name for the Salmopolska Pass, which can be reached by bus 120 from Bielsko-Biała or Szczyrk. It is located in the Silesian Beskids, not far from Szczyrk. It is an ideal base for a trip to Skrzyczne, which is one of the highest peaks of the Silesian Beskids.
The trip can be started with a walk from Biały Krzyż, following a trail through forests and meadows, passing by Malinowska Cave, Malinowska Rock, and then walking on the ridges to reach Skrzyczne. At Skrzyczne, there is an observation tower from which you can admire the beautiful panorama of the Tatra Mountains, the Beskids, and surrounding towns.
On the way down from the peak towards Szczyrk, it is worth visiting one of the many mountain huts. You can return to Biały Krzyż, or you can also use the cable car, which will take you from the peak to Szczyrk in a few minutes.
A trip to Skrzyczne is a perfect opportunity for active outdoor recreation and enjoying the beautiful landscapes of the Beskid mountains.
