Żywiec Weddings in Milówka

Żywieckie Gody 2025 is one of the largest and oldest carnival events in Poland. It will take place from January 11 to January 26, 2025, in three locations: Żywiec, Milówka, and Bielsko-Biała.

In Milówka, on January 18, groups presenting the traditions of New Year's dziady and jukacy will perform on the outdoor stage. Colorful costumes, vibrant music, and spectacular whip-cracking will be on display.

Żywieckie Gody is a traditional folk holiday celebrated in the area around Żywiec, on the Polish-Slovak border. Milówka, located in the Silesian Beskids, is one of the places where the celebrations of Żywieckie dziady take place every year.

During the holiday, residents dress in traditional folk costumes, solemn holy masses are held, folkloric performances occur, and parades featuring horses and other animals take place.
